Epilepsy is a shocking and awful condition and, though rare, appears to be increasing in UK German Wirehaired Pointers. We have no test for the condition and its inheritance, though it is understood in many breeds. In 2002, we had a litter with 2 cases. This is my opinion and research of where one major source of epilepsy entered the UK. The problem is that this line underpins most of the current UK lines. Judge for yourself and let us know, what you know. This may be an unpaletable and controversial post - but someone needs to speak out.
