Ayscha is a black and white bitch from our first true Drahthaar litter, our ‘A’ litter.

His mother, Kira, was the first UK trained dog ever to enter the Verein Deutsch Drahthaar Stud Book and his father is Kalle v. d. Dachswiese, a stunning black and white, fully qualified dog (VJP 75, Hegewald HZP 214, VGP UF 328 Preis II). Our grateful thanks to our friends, Wilifred Steffens (Dachswiese) and Hans Heinrich Rode (Kalle’s owner) for their help in arranging the mating.

Ayscha has now made breed history – in April 09 she became the first UK bred Drahthaar to return to Germany to compete in the VDD system (a GWP is NOT eligible to do this)

Ayscha gained the Green Star in Dublin in June at the European Winners show where she also gained the title of European Junior winner 09.

Ayscha has also had a very successful first year in the show ring, after taking Best Puppy in Breed at Manchester Ch. Show in January 09 – her first championship show appearance and Best Puppy in Breed at Bath Championship show, she has gone on to take Best Bitch at three consecutive shows where she was entered, Birmingham City, Driffield and South Wales Kennel, these are shows without CC’s on offer, finally at her next show, Midland Counties, under Breed Specialist Rob Geary, Ayscha gained the Bitch CC.

During the year, she also collected enough points for her Junior Warrant.
