Irish Sh Ch/international Sh.Ch. Kimmax Keltic Kelvin for Beechillawn C.W.’11, C.J.W.’11, JNR.CH., J.D.
Kelvin is owned by Seamus and Maura Gettings and became an Irish Champion on St. Patricks day 2011 at the Celtic winners show at 17 months old.
Kelvin has made very few trips to the UK but has had great success when he has been here, he won the Pet Plan Junior dog Stakes at Manchester Ch. Show in 2011, as a puppy in 2010 he won the Puppy dog stakes at Paignton Ch. Show and was also Best Puppy in Breed he was 2nd in the Puppy dog stakes at Blackpool Ch. Show, he was also Best Puppy in Breed at Blackpool Ch. Show too.
He has had a fantastic start to his show career in Ireland, Kelvin made his Champ Show debut at Banbridge 2010, where, from AVNSC, he took BOB. At his first International Championship Show, Fermoy, he won BPIB and went on to win Puppy Group 7.
He won his 1st Green Star at his next show, Hibernian, aged just 7 months, and went on to win Green Star Dog at Cork, where he was also 2nd over all in Puppy Stakes, Swords, under top UK Gundog specialist Jock Mackay, where he also went BOB., and Deise, also with BOB.
At Irish Ladies Kennel Association he achieved his greatest win so far, where at just 8 months old, he won Green Star Dog, BOB and won group 7, under another top Gundog judge, Ms. Cathy Loughlin (Rohanmor Irish Setters).
Kelvin went on to win Green Star Dog at Bangor, Killarney, Limeick, Tralee and the Cocker Clubs Groups 7 and 8 Show, where he achieved the final point for his Junior Champion title.
At the IKC International Champ Show, he won Green Star Dog and CACIB Dog, his first, as dogs have to be over 15 months of age to qualify for the CACIB. At Carlow Champ Show he also won Green Star Dog, while at Portadown he was Green Star Dog with BOB. To finish off a fantastic first 8 months in the ring, he also won Green Star Dog at Dublin Champ Show after Christmas.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Kelvin became an Irish Show Champion, wining his 15th and crowning Green Star, along with the titles Celtic Junior Winner’11 (C.J.W.’11) and Celtic Winner ’11 (C.W.’11). At the first International Champ Show of 2011, Combined Canine, Kelvin won Green Star Dog and CACIB Dog. At South Tipp Champ Show Kelvin won Green Star Dog and the following day at Fermoy International he won Green Star Dog and CACIB Dog.
At the show where Kelvin won his very first Green Star in 2010, Hibernian, he made his debut in Champion Class, and once again won Green Star Dog. At Munster Champ Show he won Green Star Dog and BOB and was shortlisted in Group 7.
Kelvin has won under judges from many different countries, some of them top Gundog experts.
He has also had numerous wins and Group placings at Open Shows and has also won the title Junior Diploma, (J.D.) which is won mostly through the Opens over in Ireland.
Kelvin now has 48 Green stars, 4 CACIB’s, 2 group wins and 1 group 2.
