Sh Ch Kimmax Anton

Anton is Maxine’s puppy from the historic ‘A’ litter – a true UK Drahthaar litter, Anton is a true gentleman and has a wonderful temperament, gentle, calm and biddable.

His mother, Kira, was the first UK trained dog ever to enter the Verein Deutsch Drahthaar Stud Book and his father is Kalle v. d. Dachswiese, a stunning black and white, fully qualified dog (VJP 75, Hegewald HZP 214, VGP UF 328 Preis II). Our grateful thanks to our friends, Wilifred Steffens (Dachswiese) and Hans Heinrich Rode (Kalle’s owner) for their help in arranging the mating.

Anton made his first ever appearance at The North Wales Gundog Open Show on 30th November 08 at just 6 months and 4 days old. He was BOB, 4th in the Adult group and went on to become Best Puppy in Show – the judge said he was a “cracker”.

At only 10 months old Anton had 8 Best Puppy awards, 4 puppy group 1st places and 3 adult group places, res Best Puppy in Show at Merseyside Gundog Club, Best Puppy in Show at Leigh Canine Society open show, Best Puppy in Show at Earlestown and Newton-le-Willows Canine Society open show and res Best Puppy in Show at Wigan and District Canine Society open show.

Anton gained his first res CC at Scottish Kennel Club Championship show in May 09 – whilst a puppy, he was also Best Puppy in breed.

In April 2010 Anton gained Best in Show at Accrington and District Canine Society Open show. In June at Southern Counties Championship show he gained his first CC and BOB under Breed Specialist Claire Sharp, another res CC a few days later at Three Counties Championship show under “all rounder” Frank Kane and another res CC at Blackpool Championship show under Jean Bryne.

The next show he could attend due to the fact he is “docked” was Paignton Championship show on 3rd August, here Anton gained his 2nd CC with BOB under “Gundog Group specialist” Carole Coode.

Anton gained his 4th res CC at Midland Counties in October 10 under breed specialist Rachel Thompson

The next championship show Anton could attend was Manchester 2011, (no CC’s) here he gained BOB, then at Scottish Kennel Club he gained his 3rd CC and Show Ch. title under Tony Rainey at just under 3 years old. At Three Counties Ch. Show in June he was again BOB and successfully gained 4th in the Gundog Group.

At Blackpool Ch. Show Anton gained a 5th res CC.

In July 11 Anton enjoyed a tremendously successful first visit to a European show, he attended Bremen Internationale Dog Show in Germany, where he gained the CACIB, Best of Breed and was the winner of FCI Group 7. The following day he also gained the CAC and Best of Breed, both days beating his sister Sh.Ch. Kimmax Ayscha JW European Junior winner 09, Winner 09.
