What fantastic results for the ‘T’ litter at the Hegewald 2007. In all there were 6 of the litter entered and although two of us fell by the wayside on the water , myself with Timo and Michael Plaggemann with Tell, the other 4 all went on to achieve great results.
The real star, of course, had to be Manfred Wolff’s dog, Tom. Tom II V Bockenhagen was crowned ‘most beautiful dog’ of the Hegewald – a great and valuable honour (I paid 8,000 Euros for the 1999 winner, Mirko). Tom also ended up 7th overall with 237 points, an incredible achievement as it was Manfred’s first Hegewald. Tom had the best form/hair score being graded 11/11.
The highest placed bitch in the litter was Tina. Tina II V Bockenhagen owned and handled by Dimitri Kritikos from Greece had excellent scores across the board and ended up in 34th place with 233 points. Tina was graded 10/10 on form and hair.

Manfred Wolff’s other dog, Tessa (Tessa II V Bockenhagen), also put in an excellent performance but not quite up to Tom’s performance on hares (which scores highly). She ended up in 104th place with 221.5 points. Tessa was graded 10/11 on form and hair.
Dr Josef Grae was 121st place with Toska (Toska II V Bockenhagen) on a final total of 218.5 points. Toska was graded 9/8 on form/hair.
Although Timo did not pass the Hegewald, he was awarded 11/10 for his form/hair score.
This year was really tough and out of the 240 dogs entered only 186 dogs successfully completed the Hegewald.

The next week both Timo and Tell have had success. Timo gained 210pts in by winning an HZP and Tell did a VGP and passed with 336 pts.

How is an HZP other than the Hegewald “won”.

Each HZP has a number of dogs competing. You compete against a standard to get your grading but in the course of doing so, the dog with the highest points on that day is awarded a special prize as the overall top dog – Suchenzeigler. Timo was the top dog of 16 at his HZP.
