Kimmax dogs in top 2 teams at International HPR Gundog 2007
Posted September 23rd, 2007
This weekend was the International HPR Gundog working test, held at Loton Park, nr Shrewsbury. Teams from England, Wales, Ireland, Holland and Germany competed in a series of UK and continental working tests, including deer blood tracking, in the first ever competition of its kind.
Maxine ran Joker and Peter ran Pauline in the Welsh team, captained by Hugh Kirby running his GWP, Dillon and his GSP, Helga. After a closely fought battle, the Welsh team came 2nd overall, just pipped at the post by the English team.

However, one of the key performers of the winning England team was Poppy (Kimmax Kollectable) with Chris Frearson, who proved to be a great all-rounder.
Third place went to The German team of Weimeraners, fourth the Dutch Team of Dutch Partridge dogs and the Irish team of Slovakian Rough Haired Pointers were fifth.

You are quite correct, it was a close decision between your dog and Hugh’s GSP, Helga, but great to see your dogs over here. Would love to do the competition on Dutch soil next time and more to your rules.
