Crufts 2007 – GWP (Drahthaar) results

The judging of German Wirehaired Pointers (Drahthaars) has finished and the imported Drahthaars have dominated the top places this year.

The judge was Mike Blay and the results were:

Best Dog and Best of Breed
Ch Freddy Vom Kapellenhof at Bareve (imp Deu)

Reserve Best Dog
Ch Kimmax Kennedy

Best Bitch
Fenja Vom Kapellenhof at Benninghof (imp Deu)

Reserve Best Bitch
Pauline II V Bockenhagen at Kimmax (imp Deu)

Best Puppy
Kimmax Three’s A Krowd

Quite a line up, 3 imported Drahthaars and two full champions. Fenja is litter sister to Freddy, both handled by Sharon Pinkerton.

We were pleased that our new puppy, Wilma, won best puppy and that Kenny (Ch Kimmax Kennedy) handled by 13 year old, Charlotte, pushed hard for the top spot (Kenny was, of course, BOB GWP at Crufts in 2004).

Pauline, our import that did so well at the Hegewald in Germany last year, proved she has show class as well by pushing hard for the top bitch spot, despite her youth.
