Announcing the UK’s first ever UK/Dutch Title Holder

Every once in a while, you have one of those weekends that you just dream about.
Today Maxine exhibited at the Rotterdam Dog Show, one of the main shows on the Dutch Circuit with Timo and Pauline. There was a strong contingent from the UK as well as Holland.
We are delighted to announce that Pauline (UK Sh Ch Pauline II V Bockenhagen at Kimmax) won Best Bitch CACIB to take her Dutch Champion title and become the UK’s only Dutch/UK titled Drahthaar/GWP. This is all the more pleasing as Pauline is our proven working Drahthaar who did so well at the International Hegewald in Germany coming 27th out of over 210 dogs.
Not to be outdone though Timo, (Sh Ch Timo II V Bockenhagen at Kimmax) had to go one better against the UK’s current male recordholder (Ch Freddy Vom Kapellenhof at Bareve) and take the Best Dog CACIB and Best of Breed.
Not only that but he went on to win the Group (Group 7 – Voorstaande Honden (Pointing Dogs) under judge, Mr. P. Jentgen and then came 5th Best in Show (there are 10 Groups in the final) under judge, Mr M Forte, from Ireland. There were 2,810 dogs entered at this show.
This means Timo is the first and only UK GWP/Drahthaar to win a Group at a Dutch show and now he needs just one more CACIB to take his Dutch Title.
Our grateful thanks to all the judges, especially Dr Paul Jentgen from Luxemburg for recognising Timo and Pauline’s qualities in the breed and his kind words about our dogs. Many thanks to Tracy also for keeping Maxine company on the adventure and getting her there on time.
